New developments.

The start of 25 has been interesting to say the least! I celebrated with friends and loved ones, of course. Considering the allergy I have, I shouldn't have had as much sugar as I did. Oh well. I don't regret any of those delicious morsels (and liquids).

I also moved! I'm still in Santa Fe, just no longer downtown. I finally have a real closet too. I even have a little area for my cosplay items.

Because of the move, I haven't really had a chance to get a lot of work done. I'm going to start the edit transfers of MISTRESS OF BLACKWEN after Thanksgiving (I have MUCH to be thankful for this year). I still can't shake the unfinished feeling I have of it, so I'm going to devote the remainder of this year to book two of the Artemis Ravenwing novels.

There is some news concerning CHILD OF BLACKWEN, however! Reviews started coming in! Most of them have been 5 stars on Amazon, and I couldn't be more elated. I am really thankful that people are enjoying my work. Of course, there are those that haven't enjoyed it. That comes with the territory. All I can say is that I hope they enjoy other works of mine once they are out there.

Speaking of reviews, I need to get a move on with my reading list. I fully intend to fulfill my goal of reading 50 books before the year is over. Plus, being a reviewer is part of the job description. Read! Write! Review! :)

Back to CHILD OF BLACKWEN. I am in the process of having bookmarks made! Seeing as how I participate in Comic Cons now, I can just hand those out to further market myself. After all, who doesn't love a bookmark? I do have business cards, but bookmarks have a longer life and get viewed by others more. The plan is to eventually get a booth to sell some books and merchandise, but it'll ideally be for when MISTRESS OF BLACKWEN is published. Naturally, I'll keep you posted about it. Until then, I'll be working on my Tauriel cosplay. Keep the fingers crossed that it'll come out!

Now, I must finish moving the last 5% of stuff from the old home into the new one. Happy early Thanksgiving everyone! Don't forget to give your thanks to the world.

CHILD OF BLACKWEN is now available for $2.99 on the Kindle! Grab your copy today!

I would be eternally grateful for a review. I shall do the same for fellow authors! Happy reading!

Multitasking...of sorts.

I did actually finish my first round of edits for MISTRESS OF BLACKWEN last week. However, I do not have that "Yay, I'm finished!" feel, so I will be going through it all again. Part of it is pressure from already having CHILD OF BLACKWEN out, so I want it to be a perfect puzzle piece fit (as volume two of the Artemis Ravenwing novels should feel), and the rest is because I'm distracted with other events going on right now. I had a recent death in the family. I am also moving to another place, therefore I had to be a packing madwoman. This is also my last week of being 24 (I'm actually a bit sad about it...24 was great. 25 will be even better!). The plan is that once I've moved to the new place and am settled in, I am locking myself away (most of the time, really) to round two of MISTRESS OF BLACKWEN edits.

Well, I'll also be working on my Tauriel cosplay for the next Comic Con. If it's not finished by the January dates, I'll just go as Link again. Maybe I'll do a vampire or something instead, I don't know. I also need to focus on Tauriel pieces more...I keep looking at Hrist Valkyrie and Alucard from Hellsing pictures for cosplay. *sighs* I need a second job!

In the meantime, I've been losing myself to my reading list (and reviewing when I can) and to Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (stress relief...when I don't have to play certain mini-games to win key items, that is!). Friday is the big 2-5 as well, so naturally, I have some plans. I'm also tinkering with Kindle prices for CHILD OF BLACKWEN; seeing what works, what doesn't, etc. The new price should go live before the end of the day, so I will keep you lovelies posted about it.

Off to reading. I might be able to finish THE HERETIC by Joseph Nassise today, we shall see!
